The Problem
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) face significant barriers to employment. 82% of adults with IDD are unemployed, and those who are employed are often underpaid.
The Solution
Meraki Mocha will provide meaningful employment opportunities to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability. Outstanding customer service and excellent products will aid in helping alleviate negative stigma.
What makes us the right fit?
I am an advocate, a leader, and a catalyst for change. I am passionate about my work, and when I see a problem or area of injustice, I will dedicate myself to finding a solution. My social work background is useful in addressing social concerns regarding vulnerable populations in a healthy and effective way, and my experience in the food industry will be vital in running a café.
