Too often, scarcity of resources in our City neighborhoods force residents into choosing between convenience, quality, or nothing at all. The barriers to language/cultural immersion and the sparseness in international and quality food choice in Lancaster County is a prevalent issue for residents and visitors; while larger franchise grocers lack the community-minded directive to address these quality of life issues in our community.

HUBUB will partner with community-minded businesses, non-profit teams and educators to identify gaps in cultural immersion and create programming that connects people through language and food. Using existing data to identify neighborhoods experiencing high levels of food insecurity, HUBUB will establish its first physical location in the south side of Lancaster City.

A native Lancastrian, an educator, and fluent Spanish-speaker, Nora has the passion for connecting Lancaster neighbors and visitors with programming that bridges the gaps in community. Using his administrative skills and grassroots organizing, Emerson brings a global and big city perspective in fulfilling community-minded projects. HUBUB partners are committed to excellent customer service for residents and visitors at HUBUB events and shop. Borrowing from our vast experience in the hospitality industry, as well as a deep understanding of the issues and solutions surrounding Lancaster County, Nora and Emerson have a vested interest in assuring that the south side of Lancaster be a beautiful place to live, work, and play, for all.
